The 8 -14 Year Old Kid Pitch Program is the largest part of the LJBA organization. We are members of the RMJBL baseball league which is divided primarly into 2 levels at each age/division (AAA and AA). "AAA" teams contain players of the highest skill level, while "AA" League is designed for the new or inexperienced player. By placing teams into separate divisions, players will be competing against teams and other players of the same skill level.
8-13 year-old teams will play a 14-game league schedule, 14 year-old teams play 12 games. There are no set game days or game times - game schedules vary based on team and field availability of the host associations. Coaches may choose to play in additional tournaments to enhance learning and improvement, with the cost in addition to league fees.
For 8-13 year-olds, the season typically starts the first week in April and runs through the end of June. For 14 year-old teams, the season starts in early March and ends in late May, in time for players to try out for their high school summer teams.
LJBA participates in the Rocky Mountain Junior Baseball League (rmjbl.org), competing with teams from the Broomfield, Louisville, Brighton, Thornton, Standley Lake, Ralston Valley, Arvada, Arvada West, Pomona, Standley Lake, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, Alameda, Green Mountain, Golden, Dakota Ridge, Conifer and Evergreen high school areas.
